The Venue

HEVER CASTLE, HEVER, KENT, TN8 7NG

Hever Castle; the childhood home of Anne Boleyn. Fortified with crenellations, a moat, portcullis. The 400 year old defensive structure and a British icon, creates the perfect backdrop for Commando.

CAR PARKING

Car park opens at 0730. On approaching the Castle, drive through the large brown wooden gates between the MAIN GATES of Hever Castle and Hever Church.  Disabled parking available on-site.

ARRIVE ON TIME, PREPARED & HYDRATED!

Registration Check in

– Plan to arrive at least 45 minutes before your given start time, giving you enough time to prep before the warm up begins (20 minutes before start time).

Strongly recommended for the rough terrain ahead:

– Long sleeved top
– Leggings, cargo pants or combat trousers
– Trail shoes or military style boots
– Towel and change of warm clothes
– Wet kit bag

You will be issued with kit:

– Camo paint (Apply before the warm up)
– Commando T-shirt (To be worn over your long sleeve top)

 

START TIMES

REGISTRATION CHECK-IN TIME: 0800 - 1230
Make sure you check in ONE hour before your start time

Wave start times are released every 30 minutes. First wave starts at 0900, last wave starts at 1330.

If you or a member of your group has been assigned a different start time, please EMAIL US with your/their name, current start time, and preferred start time.

Spectators

Spectators are welcome. There is a heavily discounted entry fee of £10 for adults and £5 for children between 6-15yrs (5 yrs and under go free) which not only gives you access to the event but also to the beautiful Hever Castle gardens and entrance to the Castle itself.

PLEASE NOTE: No muddy boots or clothing will be permitted inside the Castle itself (boots can be left outside).

If you have not purchased spectator tickets you can do so upon arrival.

THERE IS NO OR CASH POINT ONSITE AND LIMITED CARD PAYMENT FACILITIES  SO PLEASE BE SURE TO BRING CASH WITH YOU.

There will be retail outlets, food concessions, a large heated tent, live music, climbing wall, bar, bag drop, information point & survival displays  throughout the event. A short Remembrance service will take place at 11am on Sunday.


COMMANDO EXPERIENCES

Online booking is closed for extra Commando experiences, please book at the Help Desk in the registration Tent at the event.

Please note 2 laps are not available for those in the last 3 waves.

 

Take on the two lap toughie; 12km, 48 obstacles.


Do it like a Commando; carry 35lbs of Burgen camo rucksack.


Bivouac experience; spend the night in the wild of Hever Castle estate.


Survival experience (14:00-17:00 Saturday and 13:00-16:00 Sunday); Commando instruction on the basics of outdoor survival.
