NEW CHALLENGE FOR COMMANDO SERIES
The Commando Series experience has just gotten tougher. Commandos-in-training now have the option of taking on the course for a second time, tackling a total of 12km and each of the 15 obstacles for a second time. Participants can also experience what real Commando training is like adding the weight of the full Commando kit to carry around the whole course.
Commando Series, the obstacle challenge event coming to Hever Castle in Kent on Saturday 14th November will now be even harder for the toughest obstacle course racers. Carrying the load of the full Commando kit consists of the equivalent weight of six magazines of rounds, four hand grenades, two smoke grenades, a fighting knife and first aid kit along with an unwieldy wooden rifle – all weighing 22 pounds. The option of the second lap around the demanding course will test anyone as recruits push themselves through the 15 gruelling obstacles on the “wild” terrain course.
The 15 obstacles are designed to be exact replicas of the training obstacles faced at the Royal Marines Commando Training Centre, in Lympstone, Devon. Commandos will be stationed at each of the obstacles offering ‘encouragement’ to make sure participants get through safely and quickly.
Tickets for Commando are priced at £75 for adults and £40 for children
Additional lap and full kit options are available at a cost of £10 each
