COMMANDO SERIES WELCOMES NEW BRAND PARTNERS
Commando Series, a new 6km obstacle challenge event for 2015 at Hever Castle in Kent, has announced it will be partnering with Six Physio and KitBrix. The two new partner brands will support the event in its first year when Commando Series takes place on Saturday 14th November.
Commando Series gives all ages and abilities the opportunity to experience the mud, sweat and pain of real, modern day, commando training, taking on 15 gruelling obstacles over a “wild” terrain course. The endurance obstacle course is endorsed by, national charity partner, the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund. Many of the obstacles are designed to be exact replicas of the training obstacles faced at the Royal Marines Commando Training Centre (as seen on Channel 4’s hit TV Series “Commando School”).
KitBrix, the ultra-tough kit bags with separate sections which can zip together or be used individually to carry around wet and dry gear together are perfect for using before and after events like Commando Series. Six Physio will be partnering with Commando Series, providing participants with massages after the event to get them back up and running straightaway. The team at Six Physio have been providing expert diagnosis and treatment for over 20 years to the kings and queens of industry, people anywhere and everywhere from first timers to elite athletes.
Rob Aldous from KitBrix comments “KitBrix is delighted to partner and support Commando Series in 2016 and 2017. As the official bag supplier for all of the Commando Series events, we will be providing support for the team, entrants and volunteers of these great and unique occasions. KitBrix has been developed from military design principals and these events echo the standard, effort and quality of our offering. We look forward working with the team, getting wet, muddy and experiencing a level of exhaustion and satisfaction that only comes from dedicated training and relentless hard work.”
Nicki Chick from Six Physio says, “We’re delighted to be working on the first Commando Series event to offer massages for all competitors who wish to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy some R&R after crossing the finishing line. We look forward to helping people taking part stay injury-free and continue to enjoy the day and all their future challenges. Six Physio will always treat patients case by case, there is no one-size-fits-all. People are made differently so you need to be looked after differently.”
Brian Adcock, Commando in Chief, founder of the Commando Series and ex-Royal Marine comments, “Both Six Physio and KitBrix are known throughout the industry for their expertise and quality. As a new event we’re delighted to have their support for all our participants.”
The event is open to both adults and young recruits (children aged 8+) with the hard core event taking place in the morning and the family friendly event taking place in the afternoon. You decide just how tough you want to be treated though, with the option of selecting “just get me round”, “family friendly”, or “treat me like a commando” at online race entry stage.
Each obstacle will challenge trainees to be the best they can be but will be, by no means, impossible or dangerous. For the more capable commando recruits, a gruelling and serious assault course will be staged to put you through your paces. Less challenging variants on each obstacle course will sit alongside the adult version to await those younger commandos but will still test their resolve.
Early bird tickets are priced at £55 for adults and £30 for children until the end of September. Tickets purchased from 1st October will be priced at £75 for adults and £40 for children.
